Werner’s broad expertise spans the fields of civil engineering, socio-ecology, and sonic exploration, with many years of international experience in applying innovative acoustic concepts and working methods in a variety of industries. Werner’s research and design interests include the use of special frequencies in the field of sonic drilling, as well as pioneering methods for the exploration and analysis of previously untapped audio possibilities and data, particularly in mining. He creates cutting-edge research concepts and oversees their technical and industrial design, implementation, and performance. Furthermore, he is a Meaning-Centred Coach, certified in 2021, and works on forward-looking scenarios in the area of resources, resilience, and social ecology in order to identify areas in the working environment that need improvement and to make recommendations for possible measures. His work bridges the technical and social realms by developing acoustic tools to reduce work-related stress and improve the overall well-being in mining.
